Rev. Corbin Kill and his wife, Summer, were elected to serve as the Pastor of First UPC of Quitman in August 2018. Prior to this, Pastor Kill gained invaluable experience as the associate pastor of a North American Missions church plant in Horn Lake, Mississippi, and as a pastoral assistant in Holly Springs, Mississippi. His passion for ministry extended into leadership roles as the Section 3 Youth Director and the Section 7 Children’s Ministries Director for the Mississippi District UPCI. He continues to serve faithfully as the Secretary for the Mississippi District North American Missions, always seeking new ways to impact the kingdom of God.
Originally from the Memphis/DeSoto County region, Pastor Kill graduated from Hernando High School in 2007 and earned his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Memphis in 2011. Alongside his pastoral duties, he is a licensed funeral director in Mississippi and works full-time at a local funeral home, serving his community in both spiritual and practical ways.
Sister Summer Kill, a native of Meridian and raised in the Bailey area, graduated from Mississippi State University in 2010 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. Their paths first crossed at a church event, where they soon fell in love and married in 2012. Today, they are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Addie and Ainsley
The Kills are deeply dedicated to Quitman and Clarke County, believing wholeheartedly that God has prepared this region as a field ripe for harvest. With faith and determination, they continue to serve their community.
